Graphic Designer X Photographer

This Wellness 360 cover was another one I designed during my internship for the magazine's Home Issue. I liked using a calm, lived-in interior shot as the backdrop since it fit the "wellness at home" theme so well, and I wanted the design to feel like it belonged in that space rather than competing with it.

For the type, I paired a clean, modern sans-serif for the "Wellness 360" logo with a soft serif for "Home," which let me play with contrast while keeping the overall feel calm and put-together. I picked the navy blue from the wall art and desk accents in the photo so the cover lines would tie back into the room itself, and I used a simple plus sign as a small graphic nod to the wellness focus of the magazine.
I also kept the cover lines organized into a clean four-column footer, separated by thin rules, so readers could scan the headlines quickly without it feeling cluttered against the photo. It wasn't the final cover that got picked for the issue, but I enjoyed the challenge of designing something that felt grounded and editorial while still working around such a detailed background image.
