MY MOTTO
To give every project the same commitment I give a long day’s work, start to finish.
I loved designing this album cover concept inspired by Zach Bryan. His music and personality have such a strong sense of emotion, which made the creative process especially meaningful for me. While working on this piece, I thought a lot about the lyrics in his songs and how they could be translated visually through color, typography, and imagery.
The front cover features a poem from the album, tying the design directly to his writing. The sun and its rays reference a theme that appears often in his music driving through the summer which helped guide the overall tone and atmosphere of the piece.
The back cover features a quote from Zach Bryan, with his song titles illustrated as strands of fence wire. The fence posts are represented by cigarettes, referencing imagery he mentions throughout the album and frequently includes in his artwork.

MY THOUGHT PROCESS
When starting a new project, I like to begin with research so I can fully understand the subject and gather inspiration. From there, I create a process book to document my ideas and creative development. One of my first steps is building a mood board using inspiration from Pinterest and other media. I enjoy using Pinterest because its algorithm tends to align with my aesthetic, which helps me discover unique and interesting design ideas.
After developing one or more mood boards, I begin exploring color palettes, one of my favorite parts of the process. As I find inspiration for colors, typography, imagery, and other design elements, I add them to my process book so I can clearly see how the project evolves from the initial idea to the final design.
Occasionally I’ll write short poems to help organize my thoughts creatively, but most of the time I rely on written notes and calendar reminders to keep my workflow organized and projects moving smoothly.
