Giggle Magazine

Now I can see the style clearly — short, conversational, first-person paragraphs that talk through the inspiration and choices simply (not heavy design-jargon like my first draft). Here's a version modeled to match:

This cover was designed during my internship for Giggle Magazine's Baby Issue. I had a lot of fun working with this Adobe Stock image — that gummy, wide-eyed smile felt like the perfect anchor for a baby-themed issue, so I built the rest of the design around it.

I picked the colors straight from the photo, pulling the soft cream and dusty blue tones into the logo and cover lines so everything would feel connected to the image instead of just sitting on top of it. I also gave the double "g" in "giggle" a little rounded, ear-like shape and added a trail of dots across the top, echoing the baby's fuzzy bear hood.

For the cover lines, I kept things simple and balanced—"The Baby Issue" as the main headline, with smaller stories organized into a clean row at the bottom so the photo could stay the star of the cover. It wasn't the final pick for the issue, but it was a great exercise in building a whole design around one strong image.
